CAMPECINÉ FILM FESTIVAL

More than a film festival, Campecine was founded in 2007 by youth from Thermal, CA & Indianapolis, IN who are leading and building their communities through collective action. Listen as local youth of all colors share their views on achieving dreams, understanding racism and wrestling teen pregnancy. With the theme "From Invisible to Invincible / De Invinzivlez a Invenzivlez," Campecine 2008 will move audiences nationwide from empathy to solidarity by screening youth-produced 'varriomentaries' (documentaries) and engaging participants in participatory theatre dialogues.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

· Selected films will be featured concurrently across the U.S & Internationally..

· Students, both secondary and post-secondary, are encouraged to enter

· The film festival is not limited to students.

· Independent productions are openly accepted for a $25 submission fee.

· Independent productions will be eligible for festival prizes and awards.

· Short and feature length movies/film are accepted.

· Entries will be screened and may be listed under categories other than indicated in the application below.

· Please submit online, print completed submission form and mail copy with film/video & submission fee.

· Deadline for post marked submissions is April 25, 2008.

· Do not send originals as submissions will not be returned.
